I joined the post office in 1967, WORKED MAIN OFFICE ABOUT A MONTH, my first station was Alcott Sta. north Denver, about a year. Then Belmar on west Mississippi about a year. This is when we had the walk out (STRIKE). Then Old Santa Fe Sta. around 10 years, was a Steward there a couple years. Then Bear Valley around 14 years, alternate Steward there under Stan Stafanski . When Stan retired I became senior Steward about 8 years. The Sta had 3 Stewards- 105 Routes. Then Capital Hill, alternate Steward under past NALC Branch # 47 President Dave Smith, around 8 years. Well, at Bear Valley I was on the State E-Board around 88-90 I think, 2 years anyway.  I retired 2000 with 34 years Post Office, 38 years counting military. I am now 3rd year as Dir. of Retirees Colo NALC.
